Deutsch DT Series — Specs and Wiring Guide

The Deutsch DT series is the most widely used environmentally sealed connector family in automotive, marine, and heavy-duty wiring harnesses. Manufactured by TE Connectivity under the Deutsch brand, DT connectors feature thermoplastic housings with a patented wedgelock terminal retention system that prevents contact back-out under extreme vibration. Available in 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, and 12-pin configurations, the DT series uses size 16 contacts rated for 20–16 AWG wire at 13 amps continuous. Every DT connector is sealed to IP68, making it dust-tight and capable of surviving prolonged submersion. The series is the default choice for off-road lighting, engine harnesses, and any application where reliability in harsh environments is non-negotiable.
