The Deutsch DTM 2-pin connector is the compact, smaller-contact sibling of the DT series. Designed for signal-level and low-current circuits using 24–20 AWG wire, the DTM is the standard choice for sensor connections, CAN bus interfaces, and thin-gauge signal wiring in space-constrained harness designs. Motorsport and aftermarket ECU builders use the DTM 2-pin extensively for individual sensor connections such as intake air temperature, manifold pressure, and ethanol content sensors where the smaller wire gauge and compact housing are ideal. The DTM 2-pin is also common in data logging systems, connecting individual analog inputs from pressure transducers and thermocouples to the recorder. Its reduced size compared to the DT 2-pin makes it easier to route through tight engine bays and behind instrument panels where space is at a premium.
