The Deutsch DTP 2-pin connector is built for high-current applications that demand sealed, vibration-proof connections. Using size 12 contacts rated at 25 amps continuous, the DTP 2-pin handles battery feeds, alternator outputs, winch power, and other heavy-draw circuits that are too much for the standard DT series. Off-road builders use the DTP 2-pin as the primary power disconnect for accessories like onboard air compressors, high-wattage LED light bars, and electric cooling fans that pull 15–25 amps. It is also the standard connector for dual-battery isolator feeds and auxiliary fuse box power input wiring in overland and expedition vehicle builds. The DTP 2-pin uses the same IP68 sealing and wedgelock retention as the DT series, so it delivers the same environmental protection in harsh underhood and underbody locations.
